2023 NFL First Round Draft Mock

It is Christmas for NFL fans once again! The NFL Draft heads to Kansas City where the future stars of the sport will see where they will be heading off to. The Carolina Panthers kicked off the draft by trading up to 1st overall to take, what looks to be a QB in Bryce Young, while the best prospect in the draft, Alabama’s Will Anderson, Jr. may make it teammates going 1-2 for the first time since the 1967 NFL Draft.

There are many questions that linger into the 2023 NFL Draft: how many quarterbacks will go, where will the big offensive tackles fall, how will early trades shake up this years draft, and will character issues cause some of the top names to drop. On Thursday night in Kansas City, these questions, and more, will finally get their answers. Let’s see where these future stars start their careers!

With all that said, here is how I see the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft playing out, as well as what players I’d pick if I was the GM. Take a look below and download the PDF copy of my draft big board and position rankings.

2022 NFL Draft First Round Mock

One of the best times of year is finally among us – the NFL Draft! This year is filled with intrigue and mysteries, as there really isn’t any clear favorite for any spot in the draft, including the first overall pick. Jacksonville has their pick of players, with a major need in defensive end, which likely leads them to either Travon Walker from Georgia or Aidan Hutchinson from Michigan. Hard to say what will happen here, but this class is filled with depth along the offensive line and defensive edge, and has more potential star wide receivers than any time in recent memory. As for the QBs – will it be Kenny Pickett or Malik Willis to pop off the board first.

With all that said, here is how I see the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft playing out, as well as what players I’d pick if I was the GM. Take a look below and download the PDF copy of the Mock Draft, complete with my draft big board and position rankings.

NFL Draft 2020 Round 1 Picks

It is finally time of the NFL Draft! In a time when sports is almost completely stopped, getting to spend a few days watching the NFL Draft is a great sigh of relief – a sense of normalcy. This year is an interesting one, with a lot of high end talent trying to flood into the top ten picks. We also have a wealth of wide-receivers, a nice change from previous years. With that, here are my Round 1 Selections:

Tagline NFL 2019 Mock Draft

It’s the NFL’s version of Christmas! Nothing screams the start of a new season like the NFL Draft. Unlike the last few years, this year we have gotten a very mixed back of talent, a lot of players that could be stars and a lot that look like they need more time – all in the first round. Topping the draft boards for many teams are the defensive trio of Quinnen Williams, Nick Bosa, and Devin White – but the biggest question is who of them will come off the board first? With that, let’s get started with the first ever Tagline Sports NFL Mock Draft.

Lamar Jackson: The Future?

In the past six games, the Baltimore Ravens are 5-1, with their lone loss coming to the Kansas City Chiefs in Overtime at Arrowhead. The ten 4-5 Ravens looked like their season was all but lost, as they had a slate of games that would put them finishing at 8-8, if they were lucky. In a game where Joe Flacco didn’t throw for one touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers, ultimately ending up with a hip injury (a type of injury that has plagued the Ravens franchise for years), it looked as if all was lost for the Baltimore football club.

And then Lamar Jackson showed up. The complexion of this team changed. The old-school run first mentality that the Ravens had back in the day with Jamal Lewis or Ray Rice popped back up to the top and the defense that had been topping the league for the first half of the season just got even better. As described by many, this is a team doing everything the other 31 teams aren’t – run first, pass second. With stars like Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, and Jared Goff lighting up the scoreboard through the air, the Ravens are ticking critical seconds off the clock by keeping it on the ground. An offense that was more than pass happy with Flacco had completely changed… and became one of the most dangerous threats to the heavy hitting teams in the NFL.
