Tennessee Titans Trading Out of the First Pick

The closer we get to the draft, the more likely this isn’t going to happen, as all signs point towards Cam Ward being the first overall pick, but if the Titans get shy about grabbing another quarterback when they’ve already drafted Will Levis just two years ago, and decide to give him another year to see, trading back a few picks might be the answer for Tennessee. While Abdul Carter would be the best selection at first overall for the Titans, perhaps sneaking back to three wouldn’t be bad if it meant grabbing more picks in this draft, or potentially a player. While it seems like the top four picks are pretty set in stone at this point, any movement at the top would shake up this draft.

Ashton Jeanty Sweepstakes

At one time a potential Top 5 or 10 pick, Jeanty has dropped not from his performance, but just from the overall need of the position. However, what if all of this is just smoke? We know that the Raiders love Jeanty, but are unsure about drafting a running back so high – perhaps the Raiders trade back and someone commands a kings ransom for the chance to draft Jeanty? Cowboys and Broncos are both in the immediate mix for a running back, but don’t leave out the Bears, Steelers, and a trade-happy Giants from getting in the mix.

Jumping for Tyler Warren

Another highly coveted player is tight end Tyler Warren out of Penn State. Projected as a generational talent and potential future hall of famer, all signs point towards Warren being a game changer for whoever drafts him. So far at least six teams are in the hunt for him, including the Jets, Bears, Colts, Saints, Chargers, and Rams. If the pre-draft rumors are anything, we could be seeing a scramble early on for who will get the rights to draft Warren.

Pittsburgh and Jaxson Dart Link Up Early

It is no question that Pittsburgh needs a quarterback. The Steelers organization is in disarray, and with TJ Watt hinting at wanting out if things don’t change (timing it right around conversations about Sanders), Pittsburgh needs answers at quarterback. While they’ve interviewed many in this class, Jaxson Dart seems the most likely candidate to head to the confluence of the three rivers. The Steelers don’t have a 2nd Round pick (thanks to the trade that brought DK Metcalf to Pittsburgh), so either trading in to the early 2nd Round or reaching for Dart in the first is a must. If Dart does go in the first, this may open the flood gates for the next set of quarterbacks going… one of which may be Sanders.

Shedeur Sanders Left Out on Day One

Imagine the interviews on Friday morning if Shedeur Sanders doesn’t get drafted in the First Round. Well – that is becoming closer to reality as sentiment around the NFL is that Sanders is not a first rounder and that there isn’t enough quarterback need to draft him early, as opposed to other years. There are several teams that need a quarterback in this draft: Titans (who will get Cam Ward), Browns, Giants, Saints, and Steelers – but with the Browns and Giants both drafting early and not seeing the value in Sanders at 2 or 3 when they own the top two picks in the 2nd Round, and the Saints and Steelers having much larger gaps to fill, Sanders could be sitting left out to dry when the first 32 picks of the draft go by. At the end of the day, his pre-draft work (or lack thereof) has not left a good feeling in the mouth’s of NFL owners, and we are getting very close to that biting him. Pittsburgh looks to be his only hope of going in the First Round, but like I said… Dart seems to be the answer there, if Pittsburgh goes a quarterback. Watch out for Shedeur Sanders to go early in the Second Round, likely to the Browns or Giants at 33 and 34, respectively.

Tennessee Titans

Cam Ward

QB | Miami

Cam Ward is a strong quarterback prospect and leader with exceptional arm talent and playmaking instincts. His ability to make throws from all over the field and create opportunities for his team after complete play breakdowns makes him a coveted prospect in the NFL. He showed significant upside through his years at Incarnate Word, Washington State, and Miami, where he continued to refine his decision making, footwork, and ball security to reach his full potential. His experience across multiple programs and playbooks throughout college will only help solidify him as a top prospect in 2025.

Background

  • Attended Columbia High School, where he was a three-sport athlete (football, baseball, basketball).
  • Was an unheralded recruit out of high school.
  • Began his college career at Incarnate Word (FCS) where he won the Jerry Rice Award (most outstanding freshman in FCS) in the 2020-21 season and was named the Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Year in 2021.
  • Transferred to Washington State, where he played for two seasons (2022-2023) and accumulated significant passing yardage and touchdowns.
  • Transferred to the University of Miami for the 2024 season.
  • In his single season at Miami, he set program records for passing yards (4,313) and touchdowns (39), led the team to a 10-3 record, and was a Heisman Trophy finalist.
  • Won the Davey O’Brien Award and Manning Award in 2024, recognizing him as one of the nation’s top quarterbacks.
  • Was named ACC Player of the Year and a Consensus All-American in 2024.

Strengths

  • Elite Arm Talent: Possesses exceptional arm strength and velocity, allowing him to make throws to all levels of the field, fit the ball into tight windows, and deliver accurate deep passes. Some scouts compare his arm talent favorably to Patrick Mahomes.
  • Playmaking Ability: Excels at extending plays, escaping pressure, and making throws on the move. He has a knack for creating when plays break down and maintains downfield vision while improvising. His ability to change arm slots and angles is a significant asset, especially in the red zone, leading to fewer batted-down passes.
  • Accuracy: Generally very accurate, particularly over the middle of the field. He demonstrates an ability to anticipate throws and hit receivers in stride, allowing for yards after the catch. His clean pocket passing grade was top-ranked among draft-eligible quarterbacks in 2025.
  • Quick Release: Has a compact throwing motion that allows him to get the ball out quickly, helping him avoid sacks and pressure.
  • Pocket Presence: Shows solid awareness in the pocket and can maneuver effectively to buy time.
  • Leadership and Clutch Performance: Considered a natural leader with a strong belief in his ability to win, often performing well in crucial moments.
  • Strong Pre-Snap Recognition: Understands and dissects defensive schemes quickly.
  • Mobility: While not a primary running threat, he is an excellent athlete who can pick up yards with his legs when necessary and create opportunities outside the pocket.

Weaknesses

  • Decision-Making: Sometimes trusts his arm too much, leading to risky throws into coverage. Needs to improve processing speed and make quicker reads.
  • Footwork: Mechanics can be inconsistent, especially under pressure. Occasionally relies too heavily on arm strength instead of setting his feet properly.
  • Pocket Drifting: Tends to drift in the pocket unnecessarily, sometimes inviting pressure and limiting his ability to throw to one side of the field.
  • Ball Security: Has had issues with fumbling when under pressure.
  • System Transition: May require time to adjust to an NFL-style offense that demands more under-center work and full-field reads, as he has primarily operated in spread offenses.
  • Can Be Over-Reliant on Arm Talent: Might occasionally try to force throws that aren’t there due to his confidence in his arm strength.
  • Lacks Elite Speed: While mobile, he isn’t a burner in terms of pure running speed.

Benefits

  • High Upside: Possesses the raw talent and playmaking ability to become a high-level starting quarterback in the NFL.
  • Immediate Red Zone Threat: His ability to change arm angles and throw off-platform makes him a dangerous weapon in scoring situations.
  • Ability to Create Explosive Plays: His arm talent and willingness to attack intermediate and deep areas of the field can lead to significant gains.
  • Experienced: Has started a significant number of games at the college level across different programs.

2

Cleveland Browns

Travis Hunter

CB | Colorado

Travis Hunter is a unique player in the modern NFL with potential to redefine the value of a two-way player. His elite athleticism, ball skills, and football IQ translate to high-level performance on both offense and defense. While there are areas for development to become a top wide receiver or top corner (or both), his upside is immense, and he has the talent to potentially become a superstar in the league. Whichever team drafts him will need to make a choice on if he plays both ways or just one – likely only becoming elite if he chooses one side to focus on.

Background

  • Attended Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Georgia, where he was a standout two-way player.
  • Was a consensus five-star recruit and the No. 1 overall player in the 2022 recruiting class.
  • Initially committed to Florida State but flipped his commitment to Jackson State to play for Deion Sanders.
  • Played both wide receiver and cornerback at Jackson State in 2022, earning SWAC Freshman of the Year and All-SWAC honors.
  • Followed Deion Sanders to the University of Colorado for the 2023 season and continued to excel on both sides of the ball, despite missing some time due to injury.
  • In the 2024 season at Colorado, he continued to be a dominant force, showcasing his exceptional abilities as both a receiver and a cornerback, earning First-Team All-American honors.
  • Declared for the 2025 NFL Draft after his junior season.

Strengths

  • Elite Athleticism: Possesses exceptional fluidity, speed, agility, and explosiveness. His change-of-direction skills and body control are outstanding, allowing him to excel in multiple facets of the game.
  • Ball Skills: Exhibits elite ball skills on both sides of the ball. As a receiver, he has excellent hands, can high-point the ball effectively, and makes contested catches. As a cornerback, he has outstanding instincts, can track the ball well, and is a playmaker with a knack for interceptions.
  • Football IQ: Demonstrates a high football IQ and understanding of the game on both offense and defense. He can read coverages as a receiver and anticipate routes as a cornerback. His ability to play both ways gives him a unique perspective and understanding of the opposing side.
  • Versatility: His ability to play at a high level at two premium positions makes him an incredibly versatile and valuable asset. He can line up anywhere as a receiver (outside, slot) and play both man and zone coverage effectively as a cornerback.
  • Playmaking Ability: Hunter is a true playmaker who can impact the game in multiple ways, whether it’s making a crucial catch, scoring a touchdown, or getting an interception. He has a knack for making eye-popping plays.
  • Route Running (WR): Displays impressive route-running ability with quickness off the line of scrimmage, understanding of tempo, and the ability to create separation.
  • Coverage Skills (CB): Shows smooth movement skills, fluid hips, and the ability to mirror receivers at all three levels. He has excellent instincts in zone coverage and the quickness to close on routes.
  • Run-After-Catch Ability (WR): Possesses the speed, agility, and vision to be a dangerous threat after the catch, capable of turning short gains into big plays.
  • Stamina: Has shown the ability to play significant snaps on both offense and defense, demonstrating impressive stamina.

Weaknesses

  • Frame/Physicality: Has a somewhat slender frame and may struggle against press-man coverage against bigger, more physical NFL cornerbacks and as a blocker in the run game as a receiver. He could benefit from adding more muscle mass.
  • Consistency (Minor): While highly talented, like any young player, there can be occasional inconsistencies in technique and execution as he continues to refine his game at both positions.
  • Run Defense (CB): While willing to tackle, his lack of ideal size and strength could make him a liability in run support at times.
  • Route Refinement (WR): While a good route runner, there’s still room for further refinement and polish in his technique.
  • Potential Over-Reliance on Talent: At times, he might rely on his natural talent, and continued development of technique in all areas will be crucial at the NFL level.

Benefits

  • Unique Two-Way Threat: Provides a rare and dynamic element to an NFL team, capable of contributing significantly on both offense and defense. This versatility offers significant strategic advantages.
  • High Upside at Multiple Positions: Has the potential to become a top player at either wide receiver or cornerback, or potentially contribute effectively at both.
  • Immediate Playmaking Potential: His athleticism and ball skills suggest he can make an impact early in his NFL career.
  • Scheme Versatility: Can fit into various offensive and defensive schemes due to his diverse skill set.
  • Team Builder’s Dream: A player with his talent and versatility is highly coveted and can be a cornerstone for a franchise.

3

New York Giants

Abdul Carter

DE | Penn State

Abdul Carter is a top tier athlete and a commanding force on the defensive line. His explosiveness, versatility, and pass-rushing prowess make him one of the most highly sought-after defenders in this Draft. While he still has room to grow off the edge and isn’t as dominant as Micah Parsons was in college, his ability to learn any position, recognize plays well, and work on his technique puts him in elite company. He still needs to refine his skills, particularly in hand usage and run defense consistency, but his ceiling is exceptionally high and projects as a potential franchise cornerstone on the defense.

Background

  • Rated as a four-star recruit.
  • Initially played off-ball linebacker at Penn State.
  • Transitioned to a full-time edge rusher role in the 2024 season.
  • Earned First-Team All-Big Ten honors in 2023 (as a linebacker) and was a Second-Team All-American in the same year.
  • Following his transition to edge, he had a dominant 2024 season, leading the FBS with 22 tackles for loss and recording 12 sacks.

Strengths

  • Elite Athleticism: Possesses rare explosiveness, speed (clocked over 22 mph and sub-4.5 forty), and agility for his size (6’3″, around 250 lbs). This allows him to shed blocks, pursue quickly, and bend around the edge effectively.
  • Versatility: Has experience playing both as an off-ball linebacker and as an edge defender. This versatility makes him a chess piece for defensive coordinators, capable of rushing the passer, dropping into coverage, and stopping the run from multiple alignments.
  • Pass Rush Potential: Showcases a natural ability to rush the passer with an explosive first step, excellent bend, and violent hands. He has a knack for getting pressure on the quarterback and finishing plays with sacks. His “ghost rush” is considered a go-to move.
  • Run Defense: Demonstrates a strong ability to sniff out run concepts, trigger downhill quickly, and make plays at or behind the line of scrimmage. His speed and agility allow him to beat blockers to the point of attack and pursue ball carriers sideline-to-sideline.
  • High Motor and Effort: Plays with relentless energy and a non-stop motor throughout the entire down. He consistently competes and looks to finish plays.
  • Football IQ: Displays a high football IQ, allowing him to key and diagnose plays quickly.
  • Physicality: Plays with a physical and aggressive style, not afraid to take on blockers.

Weaknesses

  • Inexperience at Edge: Only played one full season primarily as an edge defender after spending his first two college years as an off-ball linebacker. While he excelled, continued refinement of his technique is needed.
  • Hand Usage: While showing violent hands, his overall hand technique as a pass rusher could improve to add more moves to his arsenal and consistently disengage from blocks.
  • Block Recognition (Run Defense): Needs to improve his consistency in recognizing pulling blockers and putting himself in better positions to take on blocks in the run game.
  • Run Defense Leverage: At times, his over-aggression in the run game can lead to him taking himself out of plays. He can also struggle with leverage against stronger offensive linemen, occasionally getting forced out of his gap.
  • Pad Level (Run Defense): Can sometimes arrive at contact too high against the run, allowing more physical ball carriers to gain extra yards.
  • Length: While having good size, some scouts note that his arm length isn’t elite for the edge position, which could be a disadvantage against longer offensive tackles.

Benefits

  • Immediate Pass Rush Impact: His natural pass-rushing ability suggests he can be a disruptive force off the edge early in his NFL career, potentially as a pass-rush specialist.
  • Scheme Versatility: Can fit into both odd and even front defenses due to his ability to play on the line and drop into coverage as a stand-up outside linebacker.
  • High Upside: His combination of athleticism and developing technique gives him a very high ceiling as a potential Pro Bowl-caliber edge rusher.
  • Playmaking Ability: His instincts and athleticism lead to consistent playmaking in both the pass and run game, including sacks, tackles for loss, and forced fumbles.

OT | LSU

Will Campbell is a promising offensive line prospect with the size, athleticism, and power to be a valuable asset in the NFL. His extensive starting experience in a competitive conference like the SEC is a significant plus. While there are some areas for refinement in his technique and consistency, his strength, coupled with his versatility, give him a high ceiling. The main concern raised by some is his potential lack of ideal arm length for a left tackle, which could lead some teams to project him as a guard at the next level.

  • Football IQ: Capable of quickly identifying and adjusting to defensive schemes.
  • Durability: Has a track record of consistent playing time, participating in a high number of snaps over his college career.
  • Technique: Generally sound technique in pass protection with a solid base and good upper body movement.

Weaknesses

  • Arm Length: Some evaluations suggest his arm length might be below average for his height, which could be a disadvantage against edge rushers with longer reach.
  • Consistency: While generally reliable, like any young player, there might be occasional inconsistencies in his game.
  • Redirecting Fluidly: There are mentions of him occasionally struggling to redirect smoothly.
  • Catch Foot in Pass Protection: He can sometimes open up his catch foot on contact in pass protection.
  • Balance: At times, he can play with an aggressive nature that leads to lunging and a loss of balance or body control.
  • Blitz Recognition: One report suggests he might struggle against the blitz.
  • Playing Out of Control: There are mentions of him playing out of control at times.

Benefits

  • Potential Blindside Protector: Possesses the traits to develop into a quality starting left tackle in the NFL.
  • Immediate Power in the Run Game: Can contribute early as a run blocker with his strength and ability to move defenders.

His experience as a multi-year starter at Texas against top competition makes him well-prepared for the NFL. While there are minor areas for continued refinement, particularly in consistent run-blocking technique, his upside is immense. He projects with the potential to become a dominant left tackle and a cornerstone of an NFL offensive line for many years. His blend of physical tools and technical proficiency makes him one of the most coveted offensive line prospects in recent memory.

  • Power and Strength: Demonstrates impressive upper and lower body strength. He can deliver a strong punch in pass protection and generate significant push in the running game. He effectively uses his strength to anchor against bull rushes.
  • Run Blocking Potential: While known for his pass protection, Banks has shown consistent improvement as a run blocker. He has the athleticism to get to the second level and the power to move defenders off the line of scrimmage in gap and zone schemes.
  • Football IQ and Awareness: Displays a high level of football intelligence. He understands blocking angles, can recognize and react to stunts and twists effectively, and communicates well with his fellow offensive linemen.
  • Durability and Experience: Has been a consistent starter since his true freshman season at a high level of competition, showcasing his durability and maturity.
  • Competitive Toughness: Plays with a noticeable level of toughness and competitiveness. He consistently battles through the whistle and shows a desire to finish blocks.

Weaknesses

  • Consistency in Run Blocking Technique: While improving, his run-blocking technique can still be inconsistent at times. He can occasionally get too high or fail to consistently generate optimal leverage.
  • Pad Level: There are instances where he could play with a lower pad level, particularly in the run game, to generate more consistent power and drive.
  • Occasional Over-Reliance on Athleticism: At times, he might rely slightly too much on his natural athleticism, and continued refinement of his technique will be crucial against elite NFL pass rushers.
  • Can Improve Finishing Blocks: While he engages well, there are opportunities for him to consistently finish blocks with more authority in the run game.
  • Limited Exposure to Certain Pass Rush Archetypes: While he has faced strong competition, continued exposure to a wider variety of NFL-caliber pass rush moves and styles will be beneficial.

Benefits

  • Potential Franchise Left Tackle: Possesses the foundational skills and physical traits to develop into a true blindside protector in the NFL for years to come.
  • Immediate Upgrade in Pass Protection: His advanced pass-blocking skills suggest he can provide an immediate upgrade to a team’s offensive line in protecting the quarterback.

6

Las Vegas Raiders

Ashton Jeanty

RB | Boise State

Ashton Jeanty is one of the most dynamic and productive running back prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft. His elite contact balance, vision, and explosive playmaking ability make him a potential immediate difference-maker. While his size and pass protection need development, his overall skillset and production suggest a very high ceiling. If a team is to develop around him and build up a strong offensive line, his stats can very well put him near the top of running backs in the league early in his career.

Background

  • Despite remarkable high school stats, was viewed as a mid-tier recruit.
  • Played his high school freshman season in Italy.
  • Two-time Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year (2023, 2024).

  • Pass Protection: Pass protection technique needs refinement; struggles with reliability and blitz pickup. Can get overpowered by bigger defensive linemen and linebackers.

  • Aggressive Running Style: Occasionally outruns his blockers, missing opportunities for fully developed plays.
  • Ball Security: Occasional lapses when fighting for extra yards in traffic.
  • Workload Concerns: Heavy college usage (over 750 carries in the last three years) might prompt load management considerations early in his NFL career.

  • Versatile Offensive Weapon: Can contribute as a runner and receiver, keeping defenses guessing.H
  • igh Upside: Possesses a skill set that transcends traditional running back archetypes.
  • Engine for the Offense: Ability to compel defenses to account for him on every play would open up the middle of the field on play-action passes.

7

New York Jets

Tyler Warren

TE | Penn State

Tyler Warren is a generational tight end prospect with a high ceiling due to his impressive athleticism and versatility. His background as a high school quarterback provides him with a unique understanding of the game that was on full display at Penn State. While he is still developing in some technical aspects of both blocking and route running, his raw tools and willingness to learn are significant assets to help him continue to develop. His ability to contribute in multiple roles and his red-zone presence make him a top prospect for NFL teams looking for a tight end with unique upside.

Background

  • Was a four-star recruit coming out of high school, primarily recruited as an athlete due to his quarterback experience.
  • Initially served as a backup quarterback and played in short-yardage packages early in his career at Penn State.
  • Transitioned fully to tight end and gradually increased his role and production over his college career.
  • Showed significant improvement and became a key contributor in his final season.
  • Known for his leadership and work ethic within the Penn State program.

  • Reliable Hands: Has demonstrated reliable hands as a receiver, showing the ability to catch passes in traffic and secure contested catches.

  • Football IQ: Showed good understanding of different offensive schemes and his roles within them, particularly given his experience in multiple positions.

  • Physicality: Plays with a physical edge, both as a blocker and when fighting for extra yards as a receiver.

Weaknesses

  • Inconsistent Blocking Technique: While showing potential, his blocking technique can be inconsistent. He sometimes struggles with pad level and sustaining blocks against stronger defensive ends. Needs further refinement in hand placement and footwork as a blocker.
  • Route Running Refinement: His route running needs continued development. He can be a bit raw at times, lacking the nuanced footwork and precise cuts of more polished receiving tight ends.
  • Limited Production as a Receiver (Early Career): His receiving production was somewhat limited early in his college career, partly due to the offensive system and the presence of other talented players. His role and production increased significantly in his final season.
  • Can Improve Separation Against Man Coverage: While athletic, he can sometimes struggle to consistently create significant separation against tight man coverage from athletic linebackers and safeties.
  • Occasional Concentration Drops: While generally reliable, there have been occasional instances of concentration drops.

Benefits

  • Scheme Versatility: Can fit into a variety of offensive schemes due to his ability to block and catch.

  • Physicality: While perhaps not a pure power rusher at this stage, he plays with a physical demeanor and isn’t afraid to take on blockers or deliver hits.

Weaknesses

  • Inconsistent Pass Rush Technique: While his athleticism provides a solid foundation, his pass-rushing technique is still developing. He can be inconsistent with his hand usage and needs to develop a more diverse array of pass-rush moves.
  • Size/Strength Against Offensive Tackles: When lined up as a traditional edge rusher, he can sometimes struggle against the size and strength of bigger offensive tackles, particularly in setting the edge against the run.
  • Block Shedding: Needs to improve his consistency in shedding blocks, particularly against more powerful offensive linemen. This is crucial for both his run defense and pass-rushing effectiveness.
  • Coverage Consistency: While showing flashes of good coverage ability, he can sometimes be inconsistent in his technique and can get caught out of position. Needs continued refinement in his understanding of route combinations and zone responsibilities.
  • Limited Snaps at One Position: His versatility, while a strength, also means he hasn’t had a full, dedicated season at one specific position, which could mean he’s still developing his technique in certain areas.

OT | Missouri

Armand Membou is a powerful and athletic offensive lineman with significant starting experience in the SEC. His strengths lie in his pass protection technique, stout anchor, and ability to generate power in the run game. While his size (height and arm length) might be a concern for some teams projecting him as a tackle, his athleticism and technical skills make him a highly intriguing prospect. He could thrive at right tackle in a power-run scheme or potentially excel as a guard at the next level, where his athleticism and power would be significant assets.

Background

  • Recruiting Rating: Consensus 3-star recruit (247Sports rated him as a four-star interior offensive line prospect). Received offers from multiple Power 5 programs.
  • Awards: Second-Team All-SEC (2024). Named to the 2024 Outland Trophy Watch List. Named to Bruce Feldman’s “Freak List” before the 2024 season, noting his low body fat percentage for his weight.
  • Withdrew early from the Senior Bowl due to illness but had an impressive NFL Combine showing.

Strengths

  • Experienced: Has significant starting experience with 2.5 years as a starter in the SEC. Started 30 out of 35 games at Missouri.

  • Stout Anchor: Has a strong anchor, making it difficult for defenders to move him once he sets his feet.

  • Body Control: Illustrates impressive body control to peel off momentum and handle defenders trying to run under or across his face.
  • Versatility Potential: Has a blend of a dense frame, light feet, and strong functional athleticism, suggesting scheme and potentially position versatility (could play guard).

Weaknesses

  • Size (Height and Arm Length): Shorter than the average NFL tackle at 6’4″. Arm length measured 33 1/2 inches at the NFL Combine, which is below the preferred threshold for some teams and could cause issues against rushers with plus reach.
  • Bend: Improved bend would help him anchor more consistently against outright power rushers.
  • Limited Left Tackle/Swing Tackle Projection: Doesn’t project as a player who could easily switch to left tackle or be a swing tackle; likely limited to right tackle or guard.
  • Footwork and Hand Technique (Run Blocking): Footwork and hand technique can sometimes appear robotic as a run blocker. Punch timing and hand placement can be predictable.
  • Run Blocking Consistency: Can be inconsistent in horizontal run concepts, sometimes appearing too passive and allowing defenders to gain leverage.

He exhibits impressive quickness off the snap, lateral agility, and overall fluidity in his movements. This allows him to penetrate the line and make plays in the backfield.
  • Pass Rush Prowess from the Interior: One of his standout strengths is his ability to generate pressure on the quarterback from the interior. • Football IQ: Demonstrates a good understanding of offensive schemes and shows the ability to read and react quickly. He can diagnose plays and anticipate blocking assignments.
  • Versatility Along the Interior: Has experience playing multiple positions along the defensive line, including defensive tackle and nose tackle. This versatility increases his value to NFL teams.

Weaknesses

  • Size/Strength Profile (Compared to Elite Run Stuffers): While possessing good strength, he might not have the sheer mass and power of some of the truly dominant run-stuffing defensive tackles in the NFL. He can occasionally get moved by double teams or powerful single blocks.
  • Consistency in Run Defense Technique: While showing potential, his run defense technique can be inconsistent at times. He needs to continue refining his ability to anchor and hold the point of attack consistently.
  • Developing Pass Rush Arsenal: While his quickness and hand usage are strengths, expanding his repertoire of pass-rush moves and counters will be crucial against more experienced NFL offensive linemen.
  • Occasional High Pad Level: At times, he can play with a slightly high pad level, which can make him susceptible to being driven off the ball in the run game.
  • Limited Long Track Record: While he has been highly productive, he only has two seasons of significant playing time at the college level.

Benefits

  • Immediate Pass Rush Impact from the Interior: His ability to generate pressure up the middle is highly valuable in the modern NFL and suggests he can contribute in this area early in his career.

San Francisco 49ers

Kenneth Grant

DL | Michigan

Kenneth Grant is a throwback defensive tackle with elite size and strength that makes him a formidable run defender. His ability to occupy blockers and disrupt running lanes is a significant asset. While his pass-rushing skills are still developing, his raw power provides a foundation to build upon. His surprising agility for his size and improving technique make him an intriguing prospect. He has the potential to become a dominant force in the middle of an NFL defensive line, particularly for teams that prioritize run defense and interior push. His development as a pass rusher will ultimately determine his ceiling in the league.

Background

  • Was a highly-regarded four-star recruit coming out of Merrillville High School in Indiana.
  • Has been a key contributor to the Michigan Wolverines’ defensive line over the past few seasons, playing alongside other talented interior linemen.
  • Has played in a defense that emphasizes physicality and run-stopping.
  • Was part of Michigan’s dominant defense that won the National Championship in 2024.

Strengths

  • Elite Size and Strength: At approximately 6’3″ and well over 330 lbs (some reports even list him closer to 350 lbs), Grant possesses overwhelming size and natural strength. He is incredibly difficult to move off the line of scrimmage and can be a true anchor in the middle of the defensive line.
  • Dominant Run-Stopping Potential: His sheer size and power make him a force against the run. He can eat up double teams, hold his ground, and disrupt running lanes simply by occupying space and being difficult to dislodge. He has the potential to be a true nose tackle in a 3-4 scheme or a powerful 1-technique in a 4-3.
  • Surprising Agility for His Size: Despite his massive frame, Grant exhibits surprising agility and quickness for his size. He can move laterally relatively well and shows the ability to pursue ball carriers down the line of scrimmage.
  • Developing Pass Rush Push: While not his primary strength, Grant has shown flashes of generating interior pressure with his bull rush. His raw power can overwhelm interior offensive linemen and collapse the pocket.
  • High Motor (for his size): For a player of his stature, Grant demonstrates a commendable motor and effort level. He consistently works to get off blocks and pursue the play.
  • Good Leverage: Despite his height, he generally plays with good leverage, allowing him to maximize his strength and anchor effectively.
  • Improving Technique: Over his college career, Grant has shown noticeable improvement in his hand usage and overall technique.

Weaknesses

  • Pass Rush Arsenal: His pass-rushing repertoire is currently limited, primarily relying on his bull rush. He needs to develop more finesse moves and counters to consistently generate pressure against NFL-caliber interior offensive linemen.
  • Stamina: Given his massive size, maintaining stamina over a long series of snaps could be a concern. He might need to be rotated to stay effective throughout the game.
  • Pad Level Consistency: While generally good, there are times when he can get his pad level too high, making him more susceptible to being moved.
  • Lateral Mobility (Compared to Smaller DTs): While surprisingly agile for his size, his lateral mobility is not on par with smaller, more athletic interior defensive linemen. This could limit his effectiveness in certain gap-shooting schemes.
  • Limited Snaps Early in Career: He didn’t have a massive workload early in his college career, so his overall experience might be slightly less than some other top prospects.

Benefits

  • Elite Run Defender: Provides an immediate and significant upgrade to a team’s run defense.
  • Nose Tackle Potential: Can be a true anchor in the middle of a defensive line, freeing up linebackers to make plays.
  • Interior Pressure Potential: His bull rush can still be a valuable asset in passing situations, collapsing the pocket and disrupting quarterbacks.
  • High Upside: With continued development of his pass-rushing skills and stamina, he has the potential to be a dominant force in the NFL.

  • High Football IQ: Demonstrates a good understanding of spacing and how to find open areas on the field. He appears to have a strong feel for the game.
  • Consistent Production: Has been a highly productive receiver throughout his college career, consistently putting up impressive numbers.

Weaknesses

  • Deep Speed (Question Mark): While not necessarily slow, his top-end speed is a point of evaluation. He might not consistently separate from elite NFL cornerbacks on deep routes with pure speed alone. Testing at the NFL Combine will be crucial in clarifying this.
  • Route Running Refinement: While showing potential, his route running can still be refined. He can sometimes be a bit raw in his technique and could improve his sharpness at the top of routes to create more consistent separation.
  • Separation Against Tight Coverage: Against very physical and sticky cornerbacks, he might occasionally struggle to create consistent separation outside of contested catch situations.
  • Limited Exposure to Press Coverage (Potentially): Depending on the offensive scheme and conference, he may have faced less consistent press-man coverage, which is a key adjustment for NFL receivers.
  • Blocking Consistency: While willing, his blocking technique can be inconsistent at times. He needs to continue to develop his fundamentals as a blocker.

Benefits

  • Immediate Red Zone Threat: Will immediately provide an NFL team with a dominant red-zone target.

He has the potential to become a reliable starter and a versatile chess piece for a defensive coordinator. His experience in a prominent program and his consistent production make him a solid prospect.

Background

  • Deep Speed: While he has adequate speed, his long speed might be a concern against truly elite deep threats, potentially making him more suited for zone coverage or playing closer to the line of scrimmage.
  • Man Coverage Outside the Slot: While capable, he might struggle against bigger, more physical receivers if consistently lined up as an outside cornerback due to his size limitations.
  • Occasional Over-Aggressiveness: Like some defensive backs, Barron can occasionally be overly aggressive, leading to potential penalties.
  • Limited Ball Production: While he’s a solid coverage player, his interception numbers might not be as high as some other top defensive back prospects.

Tyler Booker is a “throwback-ass kicking guard” who excels in tight blocking situations, thriving in both the running and passing game. He is best suited for gap power schemes where he can create vertical movement. While not the most nimble mover in space, his heavy hands, strong anchor, and ability to generate movement in the run game make him a highly appealing prospect for teams prioritizing interior power. His pass protection is strong against power rushes, but he needs to improve against speed and stunts. Despite some athletic limitations, his physicality and potential for continued development suggest he could become a high-quality NFL starter.

Atlanta Falcons

Mykel Williams

DE | Georgia

Mykel Williams is a promising prototypical edge rusher cut from the Georgia Bulldogs cloth. While lacking the all around power that most Georgia defenders have had in the past few years, he is explosive with a lot of raw athleticism and technique that puts him with an extremely high ceiling. He needs further refinement to be at a top level, but has all of the potential to be a dangerous threat off the edge.

Background

  • Initially committed to USC before staying in his home state for college.
  • Was one of the top 10 defensive line recruits in the country.
  • Key rotational piece on Georgia’s defense.
  • Contributed to a National Championship (2022).
  • Earned Second-Team All-SEC honors in 2023 and 2024.
  • Played through an ankle injury in the 2024 season opener that affected much of his season.
  • Did not run at the scouting combine but was clocked in the 4.7s in the 40-yard dash at Georgia’s pro day.
  • Played between 375 and 410 snaps in each of his three seasons.

Strengths

  • Physical Prototype: Possesses an ideal frame for an NFL edge defender with good size and length.
  • Run Defense Prowess: Strong against the run, consistently setting a hard edge with violent hand usage and impressive play strength. Sheds blocks with authority.
  • Explosive Power: Converts speed to power effectively, particularly on bull rushes, driving offensive tackles back into the pocket.
  • Versatility: Has been deployed across the defensive line, from 3-technique to wide-9 and even as a stand-up outside linebacker, fitting both 4-3 and 3-4 defenses.
  • High Ceiling: Combines raw athleticism with a relentless work ethic, suggesting significant room for growth.

  • Gap Discipline: Above-average gap discipline with a quick processor to find the football and is an athletic tackler with good form.

Weaknesses

  • Get-Off Consistency: First step lacks elite explosiveness and can be occasionally late reacting to the snap.
  • Injury Concerns: Has a history of injuries, including foot surgery in 2023 and a high ankle sprain in the 2024 opener which limited his impact. Played through pain at less than full capacity in 2024.
  • Raw Technique: Relies heavily on athleticism rather than polished moves. Pad level rises when fatigued, and he struggles to disengage when linemen get into his frame early.
  • Limited Snap Count: Never exceeded 410 snaps in a college season due to Georgia’s deep rotation, raising questions about stamina as a full-time starter.
  • Hand Imprecision: Hands can be wild and imprecise, more of a boxer than a refined pass rusher.
  • Bull Rush Can Stall: Bull rush sometimes stalls out despite solid hand placement, and lacks a developed long-arm move.
  • Pad Level (High): Needs to consistently lower his pad level to maximize consistency in both run and pass phases.
  • Run Game Discipline: Needs to be more disciplined in the run game when pursuing ball carriers.
  • Lack of Elite Burst: Doesn’t possess the elite pop out of his stance that can consistently win reps with speed.

Benefits

  • Physical Prototype for Edge: Possesses the desired size and length for an NFL edge defender.
  • Strong Run Defender: Can immediately contribute to stopping the run and setting the edge.

He has the potential to become a valuable contributor, especially for teams that prioritize a strong interior running game. Los Angeles Rams

Josh Simmons

OT | Ohio State

Josh Simmons is an intriguing offensive tackle prospect with the raw athletic tools and physical traits that NFL teams look for. His versatility and flashes of high-level play are enticing. However, his inconsistent technique, high pad level, issues with anchoring, and penalty history are significant concerns that need to be addressed. He is a developmental prospect with a high ceiling, but his floor is relatively low if he cannot improve his consistency and technical execution. He will require patient coaching and a focus on refining his fundamentals to reach his considerable potential in the NFL.

Background

  • Began his college career at Arizona State, where he played for two seasons.
  • Transferred to Ohio State for the 2023 season and became the starting right tackle.
  • Has experience playing in the Big Ten conference against high-level competition.
  • Was a highly-regarded recruit coming out of high school.

  • Impressive Athleticism: Simmons possesses excellent athleticism for his size (around 6’5″ and 318 lbs). He demonstrates good foot quickness, lateral agility, and the ability to get out in space for screen plays and pull blocks.
  • Pass Protection Potential: Shows flashes of high-level pass-blocking ability. His quick feet and agility allow him to mirror pass rushers, and he has the length to keep them at bay.
  • Length: Possesses good arm length, which is a significant asset for an offensive tackle in keeping defenders away from his chest.
  • Run Blocking Upside: Has the raw power and athleticism to be an effective run blocker. He can generate movement at the point of attack when his technique is sound.
  • Versatility: Has experience playing both left and right tackle, providing valuable versatility to an NFL offensive line.
  • Physicality: Plays with a physical edge and isn’t afraid to mix it up with defenders.
  • High Ceiling: His combination of athleticism and physical tools suggests significant room for development and improvement at the NFL level.

Weaknesses

  • Inconsistent Technique: His biggest weakness is his inconsistent technique, particularly in pass protection. His hand placement can be erratic, leading to him losing leverage and allowing defenders to get inside.
  • Pad Level: Tends to play with a high pad level, which negates some of his power and makes him easier to move in both pass protection and run blocking.
  • Anchor: His anchor in pass protection can be inconsistent. He can struggle against powerful bull rushes and needs to improve his ability to sit down and stop penetration.
  • Run Blocking Consistency: While possessing the tools, his run blocking can be inconsistent due to technical flaws and sometimes a lack of consistent effort in sustaining blocks.
  • Penalties: Has accumulated a significant number of penalties throughout his college career, indicating a lack of discipline or technical issues.
  • Limited High-Level Starting Experience: While he has played at the Power Five level, his consistent starting experience against elite competition is somewhat limited.
  • Decision-Making: Can sometimes make poor decisions in pass protection, misidentifying blitzes or failing to pass off defenders effectively.

Benefits

  • Developmental Tackle with High Upside: Offers a team a prospect with the raw athletic tools to develop into a starting offensive tackle.
  • Versatile Lineman: His ability to play both sides provides valuable depth and flexibility.
  • Potential Run Game Contributor: With improved technique, he has the potential to be a strong run blocker.

Washington Commanders

Emeka Egbuka

WR | Ohio State

Emeka Egbuka is a polished and versatile wide receiver prospect with a high floor due to his exceptional route running, reliable hands, and YAC ability. His experience in the slot makes him an immediate weapon for an NFL offense. While questions about his top-end speed and size prevents him from being a consensus No. 1 receiver, his overall skillset and football IQ give him a high ceiling as a consistent and productive player at the next level. His ability to contribute in multiple ways and his maturity as a route runner make him a valuable asset and a likely early-round draft pick.

Background

  • Was a highly-touted five-star recruit coming out of Steilacoom High School in Washington.
  • Excelled in multiple sports in high school, including football and track and field.

  • High Football IQ: Demonstrates a strong understanding of offensive concepts and how to find open spaces against various coverages. He’s a smart and instinctive player.
  • Competitive Toughness: Plays with a high level of competitiveness and isn’t afraid of contact. He’s willing to block and fight for extra yards.

Weaknesses

  • Size and Physicality Outside: While capable, his size (around 6’1″, 206 lbs) might be considered slightly undersized for a true X receiver role against bigger, more physical NFL cornerbacks.
  • Injury History: Dealt with an ankle injury in the 2023 season that limited his playing time and might raise some durability concerns for NFL teams.
  • Production Relative to Teammates: Playing alongside other highly talented receivers at Ohio State (like Marvin Harrison Jr.) might have occasionally limited his target share and overall statistical output.

Shavon Revel, Jr. is an athletic and experienced cornerback who has shown a knack for making plays on the football at the college level. His ball skills and fluid movement are definite strengths. However, his lack of ideal size and length will be the primary concern for NFL teams. Background

  • Was a multi-year starter for the Pirates’ defense.
  • Showed consistent production throughout his college career.

Strengths

  • Tackling Consistency: While willing, his tackling can be inconsistent due to his size and lack of ideal strength. He can sometimes struggle to wrap up and bring down bigger ball carriers.
  • Deep Speed (Question Mark): While his 40-yard dash time was decent, his ability to consistently stay stride-for-stride with elite NFL deep threats over the course of a route is a point of evaluation.
  • Consistency in Man Coverage: Against quicker and more polished route runners, his lack of ideal length and potential limitations in top-end speed could be exploited in man coverage.

Benefits

  • Potential Zone Coverage Cornerback: His instincts and ball skills could make him a fit in zone-heavy schemes where he can read the quarterback and make plays on the ball.
  • Special Teams Contributor: His athleticism and willingness to tackle should translate well to special teams.
  • Experienced Defensive Back: His multiple years as a starter provide valuable experience and understanding of defensive concepts.
